Here are some frequently asked questions that you may find helpful:
Q. When and where does the choir rehearse?
A. The choir at large rehearses Monday evenings from 7:15 - 8:45 pm at First United Methodist Church in Round Rock. Ensembles rehearse prior to the choir rehearsals.
Q. How can I join the Round Rock Community Choir?
A. The first step in joining the choir is to contact our artistic director, Michael Rosensteel.
Michael will be in touch with you to discuss your interest and schedule a time to meet. The vocal “meet and greet” is a straight-forward, non-threatening process. Included is a brief discussion about your singing history and vocalizations to demonstrate your vocal range, so he can hear your voice and determine how to best incorporate your talents.
Q. How many concerts does the choir perform each season?
A. The choir performs 3-4 major concerts per season, in addition to our performances at Round Rock Chalk Walk and Round Rock Express games. Our Yuletide Carolers perform at the holidays in Victorian costume throughout the community. Click here to see our current season performance schedule.
Q. Can I buy concert tickets at the door?
A. The box office opens at the concert venue 30 minutes prior to the performance. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here, 30 days prior to the concert.
Q. What kinds of music does the choir perform?
A. From sacred requiems to American Folk music, Broadway hits to holiday favorites, our performances reflect a wide range of musical styles. You can see more by clicking here and visiting OUR MUSIC page.
