Saturday, November 8th at 7:00 PM - First United Methodist Round Rock
Gathering is both an act and an idea—an instinct we return to in times of joy and grief alike. For 40 years, the Round Rock Community Choir has been gathering to share the healing power of music with Round Rock and surrounding communities. Our fall program invites you to walk with us through the ancient rituals of meeting, the quiet ache of absence, and the profound celebration of reunion. Former directors will return to celebrate the legacy and impact of the Round Rock Community Choir. Each piece is a variation on the timeless theme of gathering: we are here, we are together, and we sing!

Past Performances
Saturday, November 2nd - First United Methodist Church - Round Rock
From space, Earth appears as a pale, blue dot—wispy white clouds give way to greenish-brown outlines. Zoom in closer, and this place we call home is bursting with colors! Come experience a concert that explores the unique hues that surround us—blue velvet, green grass, the yellow roses of Texas, and an orange-colored sky to end our day. In addition to our full choir, women’s ensemble, chamber choir, and youth choir, the Council Oak Bells from First Methodist Round Rock join to add a unique layer to our color palette. “Color My World” will leave you humming a familiar tune and seeing the world around you with renewed vibrancy.
Saturday, December 14th - Bethany United Methodist Church

For this performance, we have partnered with the Round Rock Area Serving Center, so please bring donations of non-parishables to help our neighbors, if you are able. This concert is free to the public, so bring your friends and family to share in the magic of this festive time of year.

Peace can come in many forms -- peace in community, peace within, and peace in the circumstances of life. Come with us as we explore various forms of peace through song. You'll enjoy favorites like "Seasons of Love" from Rent and Billy Joel's "And So It Goes." You will find new favorites in Kim Andre Arnesen's "Flight Song" and the masterfully crafted "A Patch of Light" by Jacob Narverud. The program ends with the seven movement "For a Breath of Ecstasy" by Michael John Trotta. This emotional work for chorus, strings, and oboe features settings of the poetry of Sara Teasdale, and commemorates the centennial of her winning the Pulitzer Prize in poetry for "Love Songs." This deeply personal collection of poems illustrates Teasdale's search for peace in the midst of life's struggles.
